Clint Smith talks about how dangerous silence is and that we should speak up when we see injustices in the world. Encouraging students to speak up against injustice, discrimination, racism, prejudice etc, by having these difficult discussions in class and cultivating a community of empathy, understanding and social responsibility.
Many of the quotes in this video apply to who I want to be as a teacher. I want to help my students be the best versions of themselves, to believe in each and every one of my students and have them also believe in themselves is fundamental to me.

This is a classic Red Green quote that I heard years ago, while enjoying my breakfast before school that still resonates with me. We are all working towards our goals together and its important to keep going and supporting each other.
“No matter what anybody tells you, words and ideas can change the world.” – John Keating (Robin Williams), Dead Poets Society. This quote and the rest of it talks about how love and passion are important because we are human. This is a powerful clip and important to teach with.
