Hello! I’m Jordan Blaschek, and I’m incredibly passionate about creating collaborative and inclusive learning environments where every student feels valued and empowered to succeed. Currently, I’m pursuing my Bachelor of Education degree at Thompson Rivers University, where I’m constantly inspired by the transformative power of education.
Being on the Dean’s List in 2023 was a humbling achievement for me, reflecting my effort to academic excellence and my commitment to lifelong learning. As a Teacher Candidate, I bring this same dedication and enthusiasm to my role, to create dynamic and engaging learning experiences that foster a love for learning and empower students to reach their full potential.
Outside of university, I find joy and inspiration in golf and sports. The values of sportsmanship, teamwork, and perseverance (I’m a bit rough) that I’ve learned on the golf course resonate deeply with my teaching philosophy. I believe in promoting these values in my students, alongside a classroom full of collaboration, hands-on learning, kindness, and appreciation.
In the classroom, I prioritize creating a supportive and inclusive environment where every student feels valued and respected. I believe in the power of collaboration and hands-on learning experiences to deepen understanding and spark curiosity. Creating a culture of kindness and appreciation is also essential to me, as I believe it lays the foundation for a positive and enriching learning environment for all students.
Beyond academics, I’m actively involved in my community, volunteering my time to support organizations that promote inclusivity and accessibility for individuals with disabilities. Advocating for equal opportunities and representation in education and sports is a cause close to my heart, and I’m committed to working towards a more equitable and inclusive society for all.
With a combination of academic excellence, a passion for teaching, and a commitment to fostering collaboration and kindness, I’m excited about the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of my students and the field of education as a whole.
